Allen W. Bernard

Dr. Allen W. Bernard is a resident of Cincinnati, Ohio. A retired school administrator and university professor, he has traveled widely and is an avid collector of books and prints, and life-long researcher in church architecture and parish histories. Born in St. Henry, Ohio, he has written family histories, compilations of church records and other publications relating to Mercer County, Ohio history, art history, and graphic design. He attended Fairfield University, Ball State University and his doctorate from the University of Cincinnati.

He is on the national board of the American Historical Print Collectors Society, a member of the Society for German-American Studies, a life member of the Hamilton County and Mercer County Genealogical Societies and serves as a volunteer at the Cincinnati Art Museum’s Print Department and with the Friends of the Public Library, working with antiquarian and rare books.
